Comparison shop for cheap car insurance

Just because the economy is in a slump doesn’t mean we should cut the things we need. Take car insurance, for example: car crashes and accidents don’t stop just because the economy is down. There are easy ways to find a cheap car insurance policy, but still keep your car protected.

 Comparison Shopping
Alright gals, not to sound stereotypical, but us women know how to find a good deal on things. Car insurance is no different. The easiest way to find a cheap car insurance policy is to do a little comparison shopping. Look at multiple quotes from multiple car insurance companies and find the rate that suits you best. This way you can see how much the type of car insurance coverage you want will cost. Use the AskPatty Car Insurance Center  to get started with your comparison shopping.

What to Look for When Comparison Shopping
Finding a cheap car insurance rate is the first thing we look for when comparison shopping for car insurance. But just because something costs less doesn’t necessarily mean it is better (store brand mayo, need I say more?). You need to be aware of the type of coverage you want.

If you have an older car you may not want to pay for collision coverage—that is if your car’s value is so low that it’s not worth repairing. A coverage you may not need is comprehensive car insurance which protects your car from vandalism, fires, hail, flood damage, deer, and much more. On the other hand, if your car is stolen, comprehensive coverage will help reimburse you. Are you part of an auto club? Then make sure you aren’t paying double for roadside assistance.

So, do you want collision coverage or comprehensive coverage? How about roadside assistance? Each of these coverages will affect the price you pay for your car insurance policy.

Car Insurance Discounts
Along with comparison shopping is finding a discount. I know how great it is to find a shirt I like on sale, and it is the same way with a car insurance policy. If you own a home, many companies offer discounts if you combine your home insurance and car insurance. There are discounts for good drivers, safe vehicles, and even senior drivers. Ask your car insurance provider if you qualify for these car insurance policy discounts, and if not, it might be time to shop around for another provider.

Take some time today to do a little car insurance comparison shopping at the AskPatty Car Insurance Center—you just may find a great deal!
