Special Olympians around the country are sending well wishes to Eunice Kennedy Shriver, the 88-year-old Kennedy clan member who founded the Special Olympics and who is now in critical condition in a Cape Cod Hospital.

p> Shriver — mom of California First Lady Maria Shriver — has suffered multiple strokes and is in the intensive care unit for an undisclosed ailment. Members of the Kennedy and Shriver clan gathered around her bedside over the weekend and have been seen around the family home in Hyannis Port, leading many to wonder just how bad Mrs. Shriver’s condition is.
