Developing male allies in your male-dominated field
The CalWomenTech Project has archived a Podcast on "Developing Male Allies in Your Male-Dominated Field" with Lori Johnson, President of Ladies Start Your Engines, an automotive class for women. In this informative 20-minute interview Lori shares tips to assist women with developing professional relationships with men in automotive technology as well as gives advice on how they can advance their career. She also gives tips on networking at industry events and clearly describing your career goals to expand your peer group connections. Lori has earned certificates in Automotive Technology from Pennco Tech and in Client Server Technology from Penn State University. She has an A.A.S. degree in Automotive Technology and a B.A. in Women's Studies/Sociology from Temple University. When she's not teaching you can find her riding her Harley Davidson Heritage Softail.
