“First of all, I don’t need maternity care. And so requiring that to be in my insurance policy is something that I don’t need and will make the policy more expensive.” -- Senator Kyl, Senate Finance Committee Health Care Reform Hearings

That sound you just heard?

That was the collective groan of women across America.

Today, Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) showed us how out-of-touch some of our elected leaders can be during a Senate committee debate on health care reform legislation. Is it possible that Senator Kyl never heard the saying “It takes two to tango”?

Send Senator Kyl pictures of your baby or your own baby pictures today and show him the reason why all women know that maternity coverage is basic health care for all.

When 60 percent of individual health insurance plans don’t cover maternity care, and when women can be denied health insurance coverage because they've had a Caesarean section, why do some of our elected leaders believe that they can pick on the mothers of America?

Send your baby pictures to Senator Kyl and show him that maternity care is important for all boys and girls.
