No, this pink car has nothing to do with Breast Cancer Awareness. Instead its intended to keep women safe in a different way but I’m not sure if this is an incredibly sexist or incredibly smart idea. Mexico has figured out a way to curb sexual harassment by painting taxis pink, equipping them with a beauty kit, and putting a woman behind the wheel. It seems that the Mexican cabbies like to ogle the women their a bit too much ( isn’t that the case in cabs around the world?) and these new 35 pink cabs in Mexico City, Puebla is an attempt to not only keep women safe but pretty as well.  The 4 door Chevrolet cabs are also equipped with a tracking device, an alarm button for emergency services, and yes a beauty kit on request.
