Oh baby! Seventh Generation has teamed up with noted advocate Erin Brockovich and Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families in an effort to overthrow the old chemical legislation and require tougher standards and more testing.

A kick-off event took place yesterday at A Little Seed, an upscale kids boutique in Los Angeles' Larchmont Village. Brochovich was joined by Seventh Generation founder Jeffrey Hollender, pediatrician Dr. Alan Green, actress Kellie Martin and a room full of moms and babies who want to demand change.

The proposed "Kids Safe Chemicals Act" will require chemical manufacturers to do safety tests on their products, and to make the results public. The Million Baby Crawl will collect signatures to be presented in Washington in January -- plus, they're hoping to rally parents to take for tougher laws. According to their research, 1.25 million children in America are unintentionally poisoned in the home every year.

Every man, woman and child has a voice and if you believe babies deserve to be protected from toxic chemicals, join the crawl to Washington, D.C.
