Every now and then it’s necessary to take some time out and put away the stilettos and short skirt and replace it with some PJs and a glass of wine. On nights like these it’s the perfect opportunity to call up the girls and get together for a girl’s night in. One perfect addition to this estrogen-fest is a stack of great movies that will have you all laughing, crying and thinking together. Here are some great options that you may have never seen before.

Catch and Release

After the death of her fiancé only days before her wedding Gray moves in with his friends and learns that there were many things about the man she loved that she never knew; all the while a new love is blossoming in her life.

Great for: When you need to be reminded that love is unexpected and unplanned.

In the Land of Women

Carter moves in with his grandmother to get away from his breakup with actress Sofia and from his soft-core porn writing career. His little escape brings him to Lucy, Sarah an Paige Hardwicke, a family of women who will challenge everything he thought he knew about the female race and love.

Great for: When you need a good cry and to remind you that love isn’t always easy.

Closer

In the play adapted for the screen, Alice, Dan, Anna and Larry’s love lives continue to tangle as they deceive and romance each other trying to figure out what they want and who they want it with.

Great for: Those bitter moments when you need a hard dose of the reality of love and relationships.

Saved

Mary is an upstanding Christian girl who has everything going for her at her Christian academy until an act of goodwill leaves her pregnant. Now she is starting to realize that maybe everything and everyone she put her faith into is not so reliable anymore.

Great for: Steady laughs and a reminder what it was like in the cutthroat days of high school.

The Last Kiss

Michael thinks he has it all, an amazing girlfriend who’s carrying his child, a steady job and a great home; but something’s missing and he longs for the days when life still held some surprises for him. Then he meets Kim, an upfront college student who wants to change his boring life for him.

Great for: When you feel in a rut and need to be reminded of what’s really important.
