Winter is here which means sparkly sandals, short shorts, tube tops, and sundresses all have one thing in common, Time to pack them away in your closet until next summer. Summer is over and it’s time to dress like it!

Ladies it’s no longer beach bum season, it’s time to pack away the bikinis and mini- skirts and fill your closets with cute boots, sweaters and jazzy outerwear.

Winter will be here sooner than you think, and it will be time to layer up ladies. But who says you can’t be trendy/fashionable with those bulky winter items. This article will point out fashionable winter pieces such as heavy coats, gloves, scarves and hats.

Peacoats, Trenchcoats, Leather jackets are all the rage for the fashion guru. However, ladies we still want to look like a woman and not a linebacker in our outerwear. In the wintertime your coat makes just as big of an impression that your outfit makes. Tapered coats are always a great look along with belted coats, leather coats and fur coats.

Here are a few tips on buying that perfect winter coat that still shows off that summer shape:

Smaller woman: Coats with wide overlapping flaps and two rows of buttons are a great look for you. This coat adds to your figure and gives you curves and can add to parts of the body that are not that curvy.

Tall woman: Short hem coats are a great way to show off those long legs

Plus size woman: Coats that shy attention away from the tummy are a great addition to the wardrobe. Coats with detail but doesn’t add extra pounds where they’re not wanted is a great coat for anyone to have.

Helpful Tip #1:Gloves and Scarves are the accessories that make your coat look even better. It’s not cute or fashionable to have a runny nose, so bundle up with these great accessories-

Cashmere scarves: Who doesn’t love cashmere? This scarf is lightweight and made with breathable fabric. It’s #1 on my Christmas List!

Square scarves: These fun scarves can add color and excitement to any outwear. It comes in various colors and doesn’t need to be tied, you can just through these scarves over your head and it lies comfortably on your shoulders.

Scarves with fringe: Have fun with this scarf. Try it in different colors, materials, and styles until you find the scarf style that defines you.

Helpful Tip #2: Can’t forget about the gloves, this is the icing on the cake:

Finger free gloves: Gloves with your fingers free are really convenient. Have a touch screen phone that wont work with gloves on? These are the perfect gloves. They are also pretty stylish at the same time.

Mittens: Ok I know you wore mittens as kids but they are really cute and I can’t resist them. They are a fun little item to wear that brings out the kid in you.

Leather gloves: These gloves are a must have! They are very chic and stylish. Leather gloves are really mature and can add a little spice to any coat in your wardrobe.

Biker gloves: The ultimate winter 2009 accessory that every fashionnista should have are biker gloves. These gloves also leather and just bring out the bad girl in you. Celebrities such Beyonce, Rihanna ands Madonna are huge trendsetters and have been photographed many times with these bad girl gloves on. These gloves paired with a sexy leather bombe jacket can give you that sexy edgy look you’re going for.

Remember, just because summer is over doesn’t mean summer colors and fashion have to be. Brightly colored pea coats, trench coats and leather jackets are the perfect way to add a little color to your fall wardrobe. Fall outerwear will become more like accessories this season. By adding a purple, blue, lime green, or red jacket to your white girly fitted tee and dark denim skinny jeans can spice up your relaxed ensemble. Gloves and scarves are like accessories for your coat. Besides, you wouldn’t wear that great outfit without great accessories; same rules apply for that great coat. These winter items keep you feeling warm and looking stylish.
