Turtle Wax Is Looking For A New Jingle!

Turtle Wax is the number-one selling brand of car care products in the world, available in over 90 countries. For over 60 years, Turtle Wax has been ending its ads with the same jingle. Now that it's 2010, the company is looking for something new... and they're giving away $3500 in prizes to encourage users to create a new jingle with just the right 'finish.'

This month, Turtle Wax launched a contest to create Turtle Wax's next jingle at www.hardshellfinish.com. The contest features a substantial prize pool for both the winners and people who take the time to vote. All you've got to do is create a new jingle that reflects the company's fun spirit and dedication to making their products the best they can be. You've got up to 60 seconds to share your new jingle via YouTube video, and the family-rated video must contain the company's traditional tagline 'Turtle Wax Gives a Hard Shell Finish. Turtle Wax.' Beyond that, entrants are free to be as creative as they desire.

The grand-prize winner will receive $2500, the runner up will receive $1000, and 25 randomly selected entrants will receive a Turtle Wax complete car care kit! Complete rules, tips, and assets are found at www.hardshellfinish.com

From its humble beginnings when the original "Plastone" car wax was mixed in a bathtub in a small storefront in Chicago, Turtle Wax has been a family business that prizes cleverness and ingenuity -- so feel free to be creative with your entry, but please keep it family rated. Did you know the founder of Turtle Wax, Ben Hirsch, was also a grocer, magician, and professional wrestling manager? In fact, his first invention was the chocolate-covered banana!
