Yeardley Love: An Angel Remembered
Yeardley Reynolds Love, 22, of Cockeysville, Md. and a member of the University of Virginia women’s lacrosse team was found dead in her apartment in Charlottesville, Virginia, early Monday morning, the apparent victim of a homicide. In custody and charged with first-degree murder is George Huguely, 22, a fourth-year student from Chevy Chase, Md. and a member of the men’s lacrosse team. The ChickSpeak community extends our heartfelt prayers and condolences to Yeardley’s family and friends. “This tragedy hits so close to home for me personally,” commented ChickSpeak.com founder Christina Twomey. “Yeardley and I went to the same high school in Maryland, Notre Dame Prep; and although I was a few years ahead of Yeardley’s class, I consider her and the other NDP girls all sisters. It’s such a tight community there– with unique experiences and traditions. This could have been any one of us.” Read the full story from ABC news here and show your support for her family by joining the Facebook group, RIP Yeardley Love May 3, 2010 here. “When there are no words… know that the silences are carrying the thoughts and prayers of all who love you.” — Dawn Dias Photo credit: AP Photo/City of Charlottesville
