Sandra Bullock tops list of highest paid actresses

According to Forbes, Sandra Bullock was the highest paid actress from July 2009 through June 2010. She earned an astounding $56 million off her two successes The Proposal and The Blind Side. She gambled — and won — on The Blind Side by taking less of an upfront fee and making more on the backend. (And you know she’s got that little gold statue to go with the big check.) I know her life has fallen apart with the divorce, but now she is a new mama and has enough cash in the bank to do what she wants (which she already did.) She wants to produce more but I am begging her to be very careful because I tried to to watch All About Steve not thinking it could be as bad as people said, and after the first 10 minutes I was frightened away.

Let’s keep in mind that comparing the guys, Johnny Depp topped the male actor list with $75 million. Last year Angelina topped the list of women with just $27 million so the women have definitely raised their earnings this year, but Meryl Streep dropped off the list and their are no women of color anywhere which sucks.

Here’s how they figured out the list:

To figure out actresses’ earnings we talked to agents, managers, producers and lawyers to determine what the stars earned as upfront pay on movies they are currently shooting, as well as back-end pay earned after a movie hit theaters. We also looked at any money actresses might have earned from perfume and clothing lines and from ad campaigns.

Number 2 is Reese Witherspoon with $32 million who even though she didn’t have a movie come out this year has two in the near future, How Do You Know from James L. Brooks and Water for Elephants.

Also at $32 million are Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston who to me are way overpaid. I am not impressed with either of their choices and Aniston in particular needs new representation because she plays the same simpering woman in every movie.

Last of the list is Sarah Jessica Parker with $25 million.

Most of the women also earned money outside of movies for products they endorse.
