Writing regarding current women's issues, sports analysis and commentary, with a dash of political posturing!

I know its never good to take to heart the words of a bigot- so I won't . Yet I can't help sharing this clip: a despicable piece within which O'Reilly claims Jennifer Aniston's honest words on single parenthood, are "destructive to society".

Watch are your own peril.

Partial Transcript:

She's throwing a message out to 12-year-olds and 13-year-olds that, 'Hey, you don't need a guy! You don't need a dad!' That's destructive to our society

think that men get hosed all day long in the parental arena...any man who leaves their children is not a man. Let's make that perfectly clear. But the fathers who do try hard are underappreciated and diminished by people like Jennifer Aniston. she's diminishing the role of the dad.

Of course, what O'Reilly carefully omits during his tirade against single mothers, that men are given power, deference and respect for having blessed women with a child, every single day. Fathers that stick around, as O'Reilly puts it, get plenty of attention, more than women- and by most standards, women are at the very least expected to do more for their children.

So no, Aniston's words are not harming fathers, she is empowering women. Empowering women does not disempower men, but of course that is exactly what O'Reilly and people of his ilk do not want you to know.
