Pretty Tough is the premier brand and media property providing high-quality, specialty content, products and services for girls who are fun, fierce & feminine.

Do you want your arms as contoured and fit as Madonna’s? It will soon be possible.

Yesterday, the pop icon announced she is  set to launch an international health club chain called “Hard Candy”.

The  music star is famed for her toned figure and love of working out, so this venture seems to suit her well as she diversifies beyond the realm of popular music. Health and fitness is obviously of great importance to her, and she’s in incredible shape, considering she’s  52-years old.

The Material Girl has teamed up with Mark Mastrov, chairman of New Evolution Ventures (NEV) and the founder of 24 Hour Fitness and manager Guy Oseary  to open the high-end fitness center.

“Our goal is to create an environment inspired by Madonna’s vision and high standards of what the ideal gym would be,” said Mastrov. “Hard Candy Fitness will be a reflection of Madonna’s point of view and will reflect her input on every detail including music space, light and other design cues. Madonna’s touch will be everywhere.”

The first Hard Candy club — named after the 2008 album by the pop singer — will open in a 30,000 square foot space in Mexico City next month.

Madge is to attend its unveiling on November 29, according to the press release. Well-known for thinking big,  she expects this first gym to be just the first of a global chain of high-end clubs. Plans also include  Argentina, Russia, Brazil and Europe.

Hard Candy Fitness promises “the very best in innovative training methods,” including “state of the art cardiovascular equipment,” and an array of classes “including yoga and capoeira.

It will also boast a juice bar-cafe and “lavish locker rooms built with the finest materials will be a sanctuary for members who will be able to relax in sauna and steam rooms.”

Throughout her career, Madonna has been a devotee of fitness and well-being, and after having “worked out in literally hundreds of gyms around the world… she has a strong vision on what the ideal exercise, dancing and work out environment should be.”

What do you think? Will the Queen of Pop become the Queen of Fit? Will you go sweat in her gym?
