Author: Alexandra Bullen
Pages: 336
Date Started: 1/11/11
Date Finished: 1/12/11
Simple Summary: Olivia needs to mend her dearly departed sister’s dress. Instead she gets three magical “wish” dresses.

Rating: ★★★☆☆

My Review: OK, so Wish didn’t follow all of the normal three wishes cues (two deceivingly bad wishes and one to make everything go back), but it’s hard to say that there weren’t markers. In spite of this, I had a fun time reading it.

My two favorite characters were Posey and Bowie and I wish could have seen more of them; they were the lighthearted, comic relief the book needed. There were a few things like underage drinking and sneaking around that I never like to see in books but I felt that Bullen did a good job incorporating them “responsibly” to work well in the storyline.

Wish has a pleasantness about it that can’t be denied. Coupled with the deliciously perfect ending, this is the type of book for YA lovers and those looking for an easy read with heart!
